A few weekends ago (July 27th) we suited up and went to Papa Joe and Boo's house so Nathan could go swimming. We wanted his first experience to be in a place that was familiar and safe feeling for him as well as in a pool that had a "shelf" he could stand on himself to ease into the water. Only Daddy and Nathan actually got in the water with Papa Joe while Livy, Boo and I supervised. Nathan stayed in for about an hour all told. He jumped from the shelf, put his face in the water and let Jimmy dunk him (but just once)! He also kicked his feet and had fun "motor boating" with Papa Joe.
